Ned KempWe are delighted to announce that Ned Kemp has been appointed as DCT Mvumi Secondary School's Bursar. He will also be Mvumi sponsorship co-coordinator and Mvumi School Trust's representative in Tanzania. Ned is a graduate of Cambridge University and was formerly a submariner Lieutenant Commander in the Royal Navy. More recently he has been working with Carlisle City Council. As the Carlisle Partnership Manager he has taken a leading part in developing a sustainable community strategy for Carlisle with much liaison between the government, education establishments and local businesses.

Accompanied by Roderick Watson, the Trust's Treasurer and Trustee, Ned visited Mvumi in November for purposes of orientation and orderly handover of business from Julia Bengough who has been acting bursar as well as sponsorship co-coordinator. Ned took up his two-year post as Bursar in January and was immediately engaged in the planning the Sixth Form Graduation Ceremony and implementing the plan to modernise the school accounting.
