The sole purpose of this charity is to provide funding and support for the teachers and students of DCT Mvumi Secondary School. This school is centered in the rural heartland of the central region of Tanzania. It was established in 1994 by the Anglican Church. The Trust is largely responsible for funding the recent reconstruction of the School. Our sponsorship scheme funds the cost of over 100 student bursaries and we also provide funds for 50 scholarships. Providing education in TanzaniaTanzania is a comparatively poor country, which relies heavily on non-government organisations. Under the inspired guidance of Bishop Mhogolo, the Anglican Diocese of Central Tanganyika (DCT), of which the DCT Mvumi Secondary School forms part, the Diocese has been active in providing schools, hospitals and other services for the community in the central region. Our charitable trust concentrates on supporting DCT Mvumi Secondary School. Since the charity was registered over £1.5m has been raised for the school. DonationsA number of schools, institutions and many individuals sponsor students or donate funds. The process is straight forward and we shall always acknowledge your correspondence.
